It’s all about the shoes!

Mojo Monday 369Today is Monday so it’s time for another Mojo Monday sketch challenge!  You know that moment when you see something and you instantly know what you want to do?  You can just ‘see’ the finished product.  That’s how it was when I opened my email and saw the little thumbnail sketch of today’s sketch.  Here it is:

What was the first thing I saw?  Shoes.  Yes, shoes.  Specifically witches shoes from the Tee-Hee-Hee stamp set.  And I knew my fav Halloween color combo:  Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive & Rich Razzleberry would make up the three panels.  I immediately envisioned those three pairs of shoes mounted on layers of the same colors and that panel on black.  Can you see it so far?   In my mind, I saw it immediately.  Here it is for you to see. I played around with several colors of paper, solid color, patterned pattern until I came up with what I thought was just perfect.  Solid Old Olive cardstock embossed with the Decorative Dots TIEF.  That texture reminded me of ostrich skin leather; exactly what a witch would have her shoes made from, don’t you think?  Of course, the ‘ribbon’ had to be the extra thick chunky bakers’ twine in Old Olive.  I chose to put the sentiment on the insde;  I just love that saying!

Can you read it?  “Whether you’re a good witch or a bad witch it’s all about the shoes”  Love it!

Please leave me a comment and tell me what you think of my interpretation of this sketch.  I love to hear from you and really do cherish each & every comment.  And to show you how much I love your comments, I will be giving away the Tee-Hee-Hee photopolymer stamp set that I used to make this card on Friday!  Yes, I’ll be sharing some tricks and a treat just for you; my blog readers!   But you have to leave me a comment.  And come back each day this week.  I’ll be sharing Halloween projects all week long.  Every comment will be numbered in the order they are received from now until Friday and then I will choose one comment to be the lucky winner.  So leave me a comment and win a free stamp set!  Cool!
