Big Changes are in the works! Stampin Up! has made several announcements concerning core products that have been staples in the product line-up for many years.
Cling Stamps (Red Rubber)

Stampin’ Up! has just made an announcement that Cling Stamps (Red Rubber) Are Being Retired!
Yes, I’ll give you a second to process that. It seems like the end of an era. Rubber stamps are after all the product that started it all!
Due to sourcing issues with raw materials, Stampin’ Up! will begin phasing out its cling stamp line. While they’ll be available for a bit longer, production will eventually wind down.
But customer preferences have also shifted towards photopolymer in the past few years, not just with Stampin’ Up! but across the craft industry as a whole. (I agree! I do prefer photopolymer over cling rubber stamps). The good news? You’ll still enjoy amazing designs and beautiful stamping results with Stampin’ Up!’s photopolymer stamps—offering flexibility, transparency, and crisp images.
Stampin’ Write Markers

Another change that was announced is that Stampin’ Up! is no longer going to offer Stampin’ Write Markers. Although they have been a part of the Stampin’ Up product offering for many, many years, sales have waned due to the introduction of Stampin’ Blends markers. As of this writing, all Stampin’ Write Markers have been moved to the Last Chance category and will only be available while supplies last. One of the primary techniques unique to Stampin’ Write Markers is coloring directly on cling stamps—a technique that will become less relevant as we transition away from cling. And you can still use daubers with your ink pads to color directly on your favorite cling stamps already in your stash.
Many of us love the Basic Black marker for outlining stamped images and writing our own sentiments and journaling. If you are looking for a fine tip replacement, you might consider changing to our recently released Black .04 Stampin’ Journaling Pens (order #166647).
New Packaging
Get excited! As part of this transition, Stampin’ Up! is introducing sleeker, more storage-friendly packaging for both stamps and dies. This change to space saving packaging will feature:
a Slimmer design thanks to photopolymer stamps.
Same size & style for both stamps and dies = easier bundling and storing
Printed artwork now included on die packaging for quick identification
Stamp packaging will continue to show the coordinating stamp images
See the sneak peek of the new packaging and the space-saving you’ll enjoy.

Isn’t that great! As far as I can tell, that pictures shows 11 packages of stamps and dies in what appears to be under 2″. That is going to be a game changer for storage! I can’t wait!
Watch this video from Stampin’ Up! to hear Brian Pilling, Demonstrator Experience Director, and Ashley Christensen, Product Management Director, talk through these product changes.
Now I know some of you just can’t bear the thought of change, but, remember when we only had stamps mounted on wooden blocks? When the decision was made to transition away from wooden blocks to cling, we were so excited about how much space we were going to save. Remember that? Now, we are going to almost double our storage space again. I think we are going to be so pleased with the new packaging: I can’t wait for it!
