I’m dreaming of a White Christmas… famous song lyrics. Go ahead, you can sing if you want to. My project today puts a spunky twist on the song lyrics. The stamp set “Half Full”, one of my favorite stamp sets in the 2017 Holiday Catalog, has a whimsical inside/outside sentiment that I used for this project. Let’s take a look:
And for the inside….. (drum roll please!)
I know you just chuckled! I know I did when I first saw this stamp set! And I just knew I had to have it. I made this card with the ladies in my “Wine Down Wednesday” Stampin’ Class (of course we made wine-themed cards on Wine Down Wednesday!) and they just loved it. And you’ll notice that I used a strip of the Merry Music Designer Series Paper as a nod to the song lyrics… I’m dreaming of a white Christmas…. I know; I’ve been humming this tune for several days now!
A little bit of coloring with the blender pen adds the perfect amount of color to this project. Momento Ink is my ink of choice when filling in color with the Blender Pen.
I’ve used this stamp set in other classes; you can see those projects here and here. This is such a versatile and fun stamp set; and if you are considering getting this stamp set, I hope you will. It’s a lot of fun. You can click here to go to my online store or click on any of the items below.
Don’t forget our Buy 3 Get 1 Free Designer Series Paper sale runs thru 10/31. Click here to see all the details.
The stamp set called “Snowflake Sentiments” and the coordinating Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits dies caught my eye the first trip thru the 2017 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog and went straight to my ‘must have’ list. The intricate snowflake cut out and the lacy border, along with the font style and basic greetings, were too much for me to pass up. Add to that the fact that you can bundle & save, and I was hooked!
The Tic Tac Toe Challenge this week provided just the right excuse for me to take these out and play! Thanks #TTTC021! So here it is:
This card is delicate and intricate; it look like you spent HOURS on this card, but the Big Shot and the dies do all the work for you!
I popped up the entire snowflake panels on Stampin’ Dimensionals before adding it to my Soft Sky card base. A few pieces of washi tape keep the Tinsel Trim in place as well. You can see that here:
Stampin’ Dimensionals do a few things; they raise the cardstock enough to allow for the thickness of the tinsel trim to ride underneath without adding bulk to the card, and they give an added dimension to the card by having that panel raised.
Here is the Tic Tac Toe Challenge for this week:
I chose the Diagonal Row from the bottom left to the top right, using die cut and oval. For the free I chose to add some bling.
I knew I wanted these intricate swirly snowflake dies for the die cut and the sentiments from the Snowflake Sentiments pair so nicely with the oval framelits so my card fell together so easily and perfectly for this row. You can see my card again here:
You can see all the projects posted to the TicTacToeChallenge021 here.
Thanks for stopping by My Stampin’ Space today. I hope you enjoyed today’s project and that you might be inspired to make some cards today. If this post inspires you to make something with snowflakes, or the Soft Sky/Dapper Demin/Silver color combo, please let me, or better yet, send me a picture of your creation! Leave me a comment, I love to hear from you!
Come back again soon!

Want to know a little secret? I actually designed this card last week for my #WorldCardMakingDay class. As I sat down to write this post, I saw the GDP announced their Color Challenge and since I hadn’t shared this project yet, and the colors just fit this color challenge exactly, well, if the shoe fits…. Sometimes things just fall into place perfectly.
Welcome to the Pals October 2017 Blog Hop featuring some very “Wicked Folds”. Thank you so much for joining us today. Sit back and enjoy the view while the Stampin’ Pretty Pals treat you with their wickedly folded projects. Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous Pal’s blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.
For my project I chose to do a Double Z-Fold technique.
And here it is open:
Watch this video to see the Double Z Fold card in action:
Of course, I couldn’t make a card like this without my Stampin’ Trimmer. Of all the paper trimmers I’ve owned over the years, the Stampin’ Trimmer by Stampin’ Up ! is hands down the best!
A Double Z-Fold card is really easy to make. Start with your 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of card stock scored & folded in half to make a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card base. Then just take the front flap of the card and fold it in half back onto itself. You will then have a piece of cardstock, when laid flat, that is scored at 2-1/8″and 4-1/4″. When scored and folded this will be a Z-fold.
The part of the card that makes the double Z is just another piece of card stock 8-1/2″ scored at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″. The height of this piece should be less than 5-1/2″ but it can be any size. For this card, the height is 4″. Score and fold this piece to make another Z. The trick comes in how you adhere the pieces. The card base, from left to right, has the 2 small panels and 1 large panel. The Z-fold piece is adhered to the card base with the 1 large panel on the left and the 2 small panels on the right.

I told you that was easy! Please leave me a comment and let me know if you like this trick. Thanks 🙂
If you missed yesterday’s blog post, which created the necessity for me to make a rectangle from the Square Framelit die, you can view that here.

Check back with me, I have more to share from the Quilted Christmas product suite!
I finally had my chance I had to play with all of the Quilted Christmas products and even though I am not a quilter (I don’t even sew), I fell head over heels for the product suite!
Today I am going to share a video with teaching you how to make a simple Christmas card using this product bundle. This is perfect for beginners as the coordinating products in the bundle do all the work for you to create beautiful cards! Seasoned paper crafters will enjoy this product suite as you can create very detailed quilted projects. #SomethingForEveryone!
Don’t miss my reference to another video within this video! This is a trick that you will thank me for 🙂 You’re welcome!
So without any further adieu, let’s make a Christmas card:
What do you think? Please leave me a comment; I love to hear from you.
Here’s another card I made using the same layout, just a different sheet of paper.
Which one do you like better? The paper used in the video or in the photo?
I taught the ladies in my Mini Christmas Card Club how to make this card and they all loved it! From being so simple, and just using one sheet of paper from the 6×6 stack, they all felt this was a great card when you have to make a lot. It’s also a very versatile layout and the card can be used for any occasion just by switching the patterned paper and sentiment out. With all the beautiful patterned paper that Stampin’ Up! offers, you can really let the paper do all the work!
Well, I hope you enjoyed making a card with me. I will be blogging about the other cards I made using the Quilted Christmas product suite. In the meantime, check out some of the inspiration from the catalog:If you like Christmas, don’t forget to sign up for my mailing list. And I couldn’t be happier! My blog has been knocked out service since Oct. 19th!!! I’ve been (patiently) waiting for it to be restored. And while I was able to have my blog restored, I did lose all of my October blog posts. A small price to pay, as I was prepared with the possibility of losing everything and having to start all over.
It’s been a long time, and boy, do I have a lot to share with you! For starters, look at this!I had a fabulous time at the OnStage Event in Secaucus, NJ last weekend where I got to get the new 2017 catalogs. It was a fun-filled time spent with my downline, and other demo’s from the Northeast, gathered at the Meadowlands Convention Center. I’ll share more about my trip to OnStage in a blog post later this week.
The highlight was the catalog reveal of the 2017 Occasions catalog (January 4 through May 31) and the 2017 Sale-A-Bration catalog (January 4 – March 31). This is my favorite perk of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – I get to see the catalogs BEFORE they are revealed, and order product from those catalogs! If you want to enjoy this perk yourself, then join me in this incredible Stampin’ Up! journey! For the cost of the starter kit, $99, you get all this and more! Talk to me about getting your starter kit today. You can join just for the perks, and stay for the discount, or drop without any obligation.
I’ve had the chance to play with one of the soon to be released stamp sets called Cool Treats. This is going to be one of my favorite stamp sets. It’s so fun and playful. I’ve made my November birthday cards from this set, and it’s so much cheery; I can’t wait until the coordinating product suite gets delivered to me tomorrow. (Why didn’t I choose Express Shipping? The wait is so long!)
Another stamp set is called “Nailed It”. I won this stamp set during Prize Patrol, and I am so happy I did. I made this card for my hubby as soon as I got home. The sentiment was perfect, and since he’s a woodworker, the tools are perfect for him.
Here’s me so happy I won this at Prize Patrol:
You can see how happy I am. I know you are sharing in my happiness, thank you. So now I want to share something else that will make you happy too!
